What is Naturopathic Medicine?

Naturopathy combines modern science, traditional and natural forms of health care into a distinct form of wellness and medicine. It uses the healing power of the body to treat disease and other health issues. This form of medicine believes that symptoms of disease are warning signs of improper lifestyle habits and functions of the human body.

Dr. KHADIJAH HAJI, BAS ND

As a naturopathic doctor, Dr. Khadijah Haji’s primary focus is the holistic wellness of each of her patients. Dr. K began her practice in BC shortly after graduating from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine and has recently moved to Alberta. Through her practice, she developed a passion for supporting patients with their self-care needs. A large part of this is working on skincare from the inside out. Dr. K believes that it is important to support and nourish your skin internally as well as externally. Dr. K takes patients through the process of working through any potential imbalances in the body that could be contributing to skin concerns and supports her patients in creating a wellness-based lifestyle that works for them.

Her clinical interests include digestive health (especially beating bloat), mental health, women’s health, stress management, fatigue and how these all play a role in overall wellness and holistic skincare. Dr. K is a firm believer in living from the heart and that loving yourself simply for being you is of the utmost importance. Dr. K works with you to investigate potential root causes behind your health concerns and creates a tailored, non-invasive treatment plan. She uses the naturopathic modalities of herbal medicine, nutritional counseling, food sensitivity testing, homeopathy and lifestyle counseling. Dr. K also offers hands-on treatments including Bowen therapy, Acupuncture and Cupping. She is currently gaining further certification in clinical aesthetics in order to integrate her two passions and offer more holistic skincare services to her patients in the near future.
